This is a full guide for how to setup your M2 Macbook to play Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.

I had a full playthrough of Clair Obscur on my Macbook M2 with 32 GB RAM without any crashes or issues. Here’s the full process to set it up

  1. Install https://github.com/Sikarugir-App/Sikarugir

    # Install with brew
brew upgrade
brew install --cask Sikarugir-App/sikarugir/sikarugir
# Install Rosetta2 for Apple Sillicon
/usr/sbin/softwareupdate --install-rosetta --agree-to-license

  2. Start Sikarugir Creator

    1. Download engine from the (+) sign
      1. Select
        WS12WineSikarugir10.0_3
        engine
      2. Download and Install
    2. Create new wrapper named Steam from engine

  3. Configure the wrapper application by Ctrl+Click → Show Package Contents → Contents → Configure

    1. Tick
      D3DMetal
    2. Open Winetricks → Add and Install Steam

  4. Start the wrapped Steam application

    1. Install game
    2. Start game with -dx11 launch flag
    3. Change from Full Windows to Borderless Windowed save and quit
    4. Erase the launch flag

Use TSR 75% Intermediate or High graphic with 30 FPS lock
